My experience of using The BrainZapr on a regular basis, and its powerful effects, occurred when I was searching for techniques to help with symptoms of depression and anxiety. I was struggling with excessive worry, lowness in mood, lack of motivation, agitation and disturbed sleep patterns (amongst other symptoms!) I had zero energy and was struggling to cope with my day to day life, finding it difficult to think coherently about a way forward out of the "fog".

I had previous experience of meditation through practising yoga, and although had benefited in some ways from it, such as feeling more relaxed, this was not particularly significant and I always struggled to attain deeper relaxation and that "meditative state". However, I considered it as a technique again as I knew that studies had shown its many physical and psychological benefits such as an aid to reduce anxiety and symptoms of stress, help with sleep difficulties and overall, increase a feeling of calm.

I was attracted to the idea of Isochronic beats as I understand that the meditative state can be attained more quickly if the brain is entrained to a particular state by listening to these beats, which harmlessly changes the levels of brainwaves.

I found the programmes very easy to use, and I did not require headphones. I started with the 10 minute Natural Healing Meditation and set aside time each evening to do this. Straight away, I found that this type of meditation technique helped me to relax more easily than if I had not used anything. I have now been using the BrainZapr for about 5 weeks, meditating most days and have built up to using the 15 minute Natural Healing Meditation. I have found it so useful that I have started to get up early (!) and use the 10 minute programme in the morning to start my day, in addition to this. Although, I found this type of meditation technique helped me to relax more easily than if I had not been using any meditation aid, I would say that the significant and really powerful effects are not apparent immediately, and it took me 3 or 4 sessions to get used to the Isochronic beats, but it has definitely been worth it! Getting into a state of deep relaxation has become progressively easier, and the benefits are increasing steadily as I use it. I really feel that the regular and frequent use of the product has made a significant contribution to the improvement in my anxiety and depression. As well as feeling more relaxed and calmer, with a significantly improved sleep pattern, I feel much more "clear-headed" once I have meditated and feel that it helps me put things in perspective, by helping to clear my mind of constant thought. It has also helped me to feel more empowered, ie that I can do something to help heal myself and reduce my symptoms. Not only have I experienced a reduction in my symptoms, I have experienced some powerful deeper spiritual feelings. It could be argued that these benefits have come from the purely meditating on a regular and frequent basis, but I have found that the BrainZapr tool has helped me to reach the meditative state more easily, than if I had not used a tool.

I see the BrainZapr as a personal lifelong tool due to the positive psychological effects it has helped me to attain. I know however, that my journey is not over and I'm looking forward to experiencing an even deeper state of relaxation and meditation, that I hope to attain in the future.
